If you want to cut out the middle man, you can sell through your own website or a blog but there are downsides. You have to on the overhead that comes with running your own shop including advertising, payment processing, and website upkeep. There are also the costs that go along with running your own website and cost to your time. If you want to sell on your own site consider installing Shopify or using a plugin like Easy Digital Downloads. You can do both — sell on Etsy and on Shopify through your own site.
