Why would you want to upgrade, anyways? Also, with 1st gen iPad Mini is hardware and functionally equivalent to the 7-year old iPad 2. My older iPad 2 and 3 models are still getting app updates regularly on a daily basis. This is why Apple introduced the new, lower cost iPad 5 models last April So, the decisions are really up to you!
